The Sprint 2005 traveller series was concluded at the Grafham event on the weekend of 15/16 October, which as it happens, was also our biggest attended regatta of the series with 35 entries. The series consisted of 6 events around the country which were at: Thorpe Bay, Rutland, Halifax, Netley, Carsington and Grafham and 70 boats took part with 125 total entries across the 6 events. The series was won by Bob Carter with two first places and a second from Paul Smith (2,3,3), George Carter (7,1,1), Charles Watson (1,3,6) and Steve Hanby (8,2,2). All events were completed, generally in good weather and attendances were as follows: Thorpe Bay - 18, Rutland - 15, Halifax - 14, Netley - 24, Carsington - 19, and Grafham - 35.
The fleet now take a short break before starting the winter traveller series of one day races, which begins at Stewartby on 5 November.
